Found this arrowhead on the gulf coast of the Florida panhandle. Can anyone help ID?

Found this on a beach on the Florida panhandle. It's about the length of two quarters. My first guess is that it's an Adena point but I have no clue. Can anyone help identify and date this arrowhead?

Nice find and material. Where in the panhandle? I was born in Ft. Walton Beach. It could be a worked out worn down Marion, Newnan, or similar stemmed point. Cypress Creek came to mind when I first saw it too. Panhandle stuff can come from all over, Ala. Ga. & Florida. Welcome & thanks for sharing.

It would seem we are now up a famous tributary without any means of locomotion.

I found it in the Panacea area. Any idea how old this could be?

Nice looking Point. Not an Adena though.

The Putnam has a more narrow elongated tang, whereas the Marion’s is more squarish...Can’t always go by the points in projectile points ,com...many belong in other categories...it can be a subtle difference..Doesn’t matter, they’re all Archaic stemmed...

Don't feel bad Toyota, I'm terrible at typing them too. I agree with Hal they're archaic stemmed.

Yeah the point is a little worn out pretty from use and that also makes typing difficult. Putnam is a good call. I use to fish the beach at Panacea when I lived in Tallahassee. Pretty area. Lots of artifacts in that part of Florida.
