Hey y'all I'm Sara..and i love history and old things. I just moved to Matthews, NC in August, and finally purchased my own metal detector. I was borrowing one from my dad for the longest time but didn't have much luck with it. I got into this hobby from geo-caching a few years back. I've lived in a few states and wish I bought my AT Pro when I was living up near Boston or even Alabama where I would have had connections to getting permissions to some old sites! Anyways.. any other girl dectorists in the area? Me and my husband hunt together usually, but it'd be nice to meet other folks in the area to go out with on days he can't. Look forward to meeting some of you out there!

There is a metal detecting club that meets in Matthews. You ought to come by, we have a lady detectorist in the club... and a bunch of old dudes!
