Where to hunt around fort fisher area in Wilmington?

I will be staying a night at the national guard barracks near fort fisher for a night or two. is there a place to hunt (Legally) nearby?

you can hunt the beach's...Carolina,Kure, and the drive on beach at Fisher.

Carolina and Kure Beach both offer plenty of sand to hunt. From where you will be, you should be able to just head north on the beach toward the Kure Beach pier. South from there you would be going onto Fort Fisher and that is off limits. You are also just a short drive from Wrightsville Beach to the north. A good site for info on this area is http://detectorx.com/. Lots of NC detectors on that forum with many being in the Wilmington area, many of them also post here but that forum is much smaller, a very friendly place to post your question. Hope some of the sand moves out for you, the area has been pretty sanded in lately. Good luck to you.
