Gypsy, you would need a gun to MD those house sites. Rough neighborhoods.

I have done some privy digging near some of these homes, detecting also. It is not as dangerous as it seems. You do have to keep your eyes open though and be with another person that can be another set of eyes. I have had no bad problems with anyone yet detecting downtown. Bryan

Wow!! I forgot how much I miss Goldsboro. I was stationed there from 1988 - 1995 and enjoyed detecting there.

I detected with a guy named John Harper 89-92 time frame. He worked at power pro. I thinnk he lives in FL now somewhere. It would be nice to find him. I work at the Base FD. Take care, Bryan

I was a flight engineer on the KC-10's 911th squadron, when they were there. Sure did enjoy the slower lifestyle. I now live in the Tampa Bay Florida area. I did a ton of research in at Goldsboro, and that is where I first started into metal detecting. Rented a Whites detector from MWR for one month for 30 dollars to see if I would enjoy the hobby. Went to my house on base turned it on and the very first thing i found was a class ring. Wow was i ever hooked. Best $30.00 I ever spent.

Yes sir, it is a great hobby. I have enjoyed detecting around Goldsboro. I was first stationed here in 89-92. Then came back in 96 as a DOD Civilian. Take care, Bryan
