Viking Ship on Hobson Island
In June 2010, Finders Keepers traveled to Nova Scotia to checked out a small island in the Mahone Bay area.
The Island is know as Hobson Island and it is 175 feet long and 100 feet wide and around 5 feet above sea level during high tide and 700 feet long at low tide. We used Google Earth
to view it up close and to measure it. In the pictures enclosed you can see a pile of rocks in the shape of a ship and the pile measures 59 feet long and a Viking Cargo ship measures 59 feet long. The Vikings were known to bury their ships when they were no longer useful.

In the History of the Mikmag Indians they tell of red hair men that came to their land on the back of a wale. Then they say the red hair men built a island and planted trees on it. Then the red hair men built a ship and left.

Well we think this was not a wale but a Viking Ship turned over. Had the wale made it to main land then the Mikmag would of known it was a ship, so it did not make it to shore. We believe that the Mikmag saw the Vikings on the back of their ship and it looked like a wale from 3/4 of a mile away. Then the Viking Ship hit land and the mast broke off. Then they unloaded the ship and buried it on the Island. The island was made of sand and was 20 feet above sea level so it would be easy to dig a hole big enough to bury the ship. They would of wanted to use stone to hold it down instead of sand. We think they used the stones found around the shore line and this is why the island is gone today.
A Viking Cargo Ship could hold up to 25 tons of cargo and they could of build a raft and used the high tide and low tide to get the cargo and treasure to shore of Oak Island. They could of hauled stones and trees back to the island during low tide and to the Mikmag this would look like they were building a island.
If a Viking Ship was upside down the mast would be the first thing to hit solid land and if you look in the upper right of the picture ( use Google Earth not Google Map )you can see a straight object that we think could be the mast and yardarm.

The Island is in the right location, between the ocean and Oak island.
The island is 3/4 mile from shore.
The pile of rocks are in the shape of a ship.
The pile of rocks are 59 feet long.
The Viking Cargo ships were 59 feet long.
The long object (mast) is on the ocean side of the island.
The long object is the right size for the mast and yardarm together.
The Vikings were the only ones to bury their ships and their is a pile of rocks

.We believe there was a Viking Ship buried on the Island and this was the ship Prince Henry Sinclare and the Templar Treasure was on. Now that the island has washed away you can see a pile of rocks that we believe were used to bury the ship but are now gone. In the1970's a Light House and buildings were on the island but all are now gone and so is the 20 foot high island.
If this is a Viking Ship the ocean will destroy anything left on the island, we have to work together and fast on this historical find to get the info before it is gone. We just want to prove this is a Viking Ship, then hope the Government locates someone to check it out to see if anything is left.

1, We are still trying to get a small piece of wood from the straight object in the water to have it carbon dated. Our rented dive gear was not working for us to get a sample. We are looking for someone in the area that has their own dive gear and is willing to help us get the wood sample to carbon date. Email us for more info..
2, We did locate metal artifacts from the area that looks like a ship but the government says the artifacts are from the late 1800's and early 1900's.???
3, We did hope to locate some wood or coconut fibers on the surface to carbon date but their is to many dried plants on the island to do this in one day.
4, We had metal detectors with us but their is lots of red stones and red clay (with iron deposits) and plants that set off the detectors. Yet we still located metal objects.

Check out this page and let us know what you think.

Click on the link below and see Hobson Island in Google Map but Google Earth is better. Everyone that looks at this picture says it looks like a ship. Only the state employees think not. We gave them artifacts that we found on the island and I spent over $4000. so far and the Nova Scotia Gov spent $0. They have no intrest looking at this any more they said. They are done with this site but you the ones that live in the area should speak out and have some one check this out. Soon this all will be gone and then it will be to late.

We are planning to return to Hobson Island in the spring of 2011 to finish our hunt. We have divers that located rock carvings and a stone map of the area between Hobson and Oak Island. We still believe this is a Viking Ship and now we have a site we want to check out to see if the Templar Treasure is there. This time we will do things the right way. :dontknow:

:icon_thumleft: ;D I think that would be a GREAT idea! I think also, that Keith should be involved with you, to "help" with native Canadian "understanding" of found carvings, symbols, etc. I have NO "paper-trail", but what I "see" is that Knights Templar sailed from Scotland to Iceland, where
"treasure" was off-loaded onto a VIKING ship left behind, that was "sea-worthy", ending up near Hobson Island, and KT with help of native ppl did the "Oak Island thing"; lots of these original KT later became PIRATES, etc. LOL. The REST of the KT left Iceland on the original ship... ending up in today's Rhode Island... building the round NEWPORT TOWER; the REST is "history". :D  ;D

I have been checking out the Zeno Narratives on Prince Henry 's trip to the new world and it backs up everything we claim to have found. The link to Zeno Map is below. It tells of a great storm they were in for 6 days when they left Greenland and headed for the new world. A cannon was found in the northern part of the Nova Scotia waters. If a ship was in this storm for days and over loaded I could see it turning over and the cannon falling in the ocean. Than the story says they built a ship at Guysborough Harbor :dontknow: that tells me they had a ship wreck as we have said. But there is no proof that they did build a ship at Guysborough :icon_scratch: I believe they built the ship in Manhoe Bay , I have a pile of rocks in the shape of a Viking Ship and 59 feet long , the same length of a Viking cargo ship buried in Manhoe Bay on Hobson Island and they found no ships in Guysborough. The Vikings were known to bury their old ships at times.
There are oak trees on Oak Island and a castle with foundations near New Ross. The Vikings needed to build a ship and they needed oak wood so why wouldn't they build the new ship in Manhoe Bay were they had everything they needed. After all if you look at Zenos Map it shows all of lands they went to but Nova Scotia is not on it. Would you show the place were you hid the treasure. :icon_scratch:

Hi Maipenria, The Dents Run site is still on hold until we hear back from the network. All of our sites are on hold. We show up now and then to do research work but the network wanted all work to stop until they decide what to do. We will be back to drilling soon if we don't hear from them and the weather gets real good. :hello2:

Hi All. We just got back from Nova Scotia filming a TV show for the History Channel on The Templar Treasure. The show will air in Feb. We showed everyone a new set of events that could of happen to the Templars and the Treasure. We have plans to return to Nova Scotia as soon as we can for the 2nd half of our hunt. I hope this new info puts some questions to rest. This is our story check it out. This is our story of how the Templars made the trip to Oak Island then to New Ross.
If I had the Greatest Treasure in the world and I was about to go on a journey to a new land and encounter many dangers and unknowen mystery's , I would have one BIG thought on my mind. How to get this treasure accross the ocean and not sink the ship.
The Templars had to use Viking Ships to make the journey because their ships were not built to travel in the oceans ( 1 ) . The Templar were involved for years in the transportation of goods across the Mediterranean Sea and they knew the best way to protect their cargo ( 1 ) . They used coconut fibers . Not only could they use it for packing but the fiber made the best ropes and nets and did not rot when used in salt water ( 4 ) The fiber did float so if enough was on board it could keep a ship from sinking ( 3 ).
In the 1960's more than 3 1/2 tons of coconut fibers were found in Smith Cove on Oak Island ( 5-6 ) . The fibers were 2 feet thick and found in a trench that ran 145 feet along the shore line of Smith Cove with flag stones over it. The carbon date of the fibers are from the 1300's time period ( 8 ). So their is no way this amount of fibers traveled to this area by its self and landed in a trench and covered its self , so man did bring this to this area. The coconut fibers had to be put in water for 10 months to 1 yr before they could use it for rope ( 2-3 ) .Who would bring this large amount to this Island to make rope? That much rope was not needed back then and their was no other need for the fiber . We all agree that somekind of value treasure was buried on Oak Island in the Money Pit and coconut fibers were found in the pit at 90 feet down and they could of been used as packing for the treasure in the Pit. So the fibers in Smith Cove has somekind of connection to the treasure in the Pit. The Micmac did not know anything about the use of the fibers but the Templars did .
I believe the Templars loaded over 5 tons of coconut fibers on board for packing the treasure and to keep the ship from sinking. When their journey was done they could still use the fiber to make rope so this fiber was like gold to them.
The ship sailed a long the Nova Scotia cost and we believe it turned over in a storm and the Templars stood on the belly of the ship. In Scott Walters Story it says the Micmac saw red hair men on the back of a whale come to their land. A Viking Ship turned over does look like a spirm whale ( 7 ). If the Bubonic Plague was aboard this ship the cold ice water would kill the rats and fleas that cause the Plague. If the ship made its way south to Manhoe Bay during the start of high tide, the ship would have been pulled into the bay . To land on the main land and not know who or what was waiting for them would of been crazy.
We believe they went to Hobson Island first then they made their way to the main land. . A Viking Cargo Ship was 54' long and could cary 25 tons of cargo. If this ship had that much cargo and it hit the island there would be major damage to the ship. The first thing they would do was to remove all of the cargo and get it to a better place close to main land. We believe they went to main land and build a raft to remove everything from Hobson Island. I believe they picked Oak Island because they needed to build a new ship and Oak Island had oak trees on it and the Island was close to main land and close to Hobson Island. They could use the High tide and Low tide to travel back and forth in the raft to remove all of the cargo. Before they could use the raft they had to test it with loads of rocks to see how much cargo it would cary. So every time they left Oak Island to return to Hobson they would load rocks on the raft and to the Micmac it would look like they were building a Island and in the Scott Wolters story it tells of the Micmac saying the red hair men built an Island.
The Vikings were known to bury their ships and on Hobson Island
we have located a pile of stones in the shape of a Viking Ship ( picture attached ) and the same length of a Viking Cargo Ship. It would be easy for them to dig a hole big enough to bury the ship because the Island was made up of sand 20 feet high. If they put the ship in a big hole they would of filled some of the ship up with stones to keep it held down. Smaller stones from Hobson shore and stones from Oak Island could of been used. The sea water is higher now and with the stones removed from the shore the sandy Island washed away and the stones that were put in the ship are easy to see now. 90% of Hobson Island is gone now but in 1970 there was a Light House still on it. Before they left Hobson I believe they put oak trees on the Island like flag poles to attach flags to let the other ships know where they were . Again in Scotts Story the Micmac say the red hair men planted trees on the island and if they placed one or more oak flag poles there it would look like they planted trees. To plant something you dig a hole and put something in it . To plant a small tree or a big tree or a flag pole is how the Micmac would see this.
We have located a V carving on a large bolder on Hobson Island ( picture attached ) and other stone carvings. We beleve the Templars put large stones on the sandy shore in the same pattern as the islands between Hobson and Oak to show were they went to .
We call this lay out of stones the Rock Map ( picture attached ) We hope to see if these stones have any carvings on them before the film crew shows up. There is a story from the area that in 1830 some Treasure Hunters removed a object from Hobson Island ( Story Attached ) and it was believed to be the stone that was to show were Oak Island was located among the other stones on the sandy shore. This stone could of had a great deal of info on it for the Treasure Hunters to take it. I don't think the info would show the location of the treasure but to show were they went up Gold River to The Cross or New Ross. This stone should be over 16" thick.
They did not know who or what was waiting for them on the main land so the first thing they did on Oak Island was to hide the treasure and build housing. To build a ship would take time so they knew they were on this island for some time, thats why they place the coconut fibers in Smith Cove. To dig a trench 145 feet along the shore line and to place tons of coconut fibers in it would of taken a lot of work. So they did plan to use the fibers again either as packing or rope, but no one removed the fibers so what happen to the Templars in the 1 yr period. Once they got to know and trust the Micmac Indians they would of moved off the island to a better place. In Europe and in Jerusalem the religous buildings were built on the highest land in the area to get closer to god. The church was also built higher than any other building in the area. So if the Templars had the worlds best treasure I would think they would pick a place on the main land that was high. New Ross is on the second highest mountain in Nova Scotia. Gold River is close to Oak Island and it runs up to New Ross to were the Castle was built.
Once they built a long log house and started to build the castle they would of moved the treasure just before whinter.
After they remove the treasure from the Money Pit they would of filled the Pit in . To leave the pit open would show they had something of value buried there.
Now at this point the only solid proof we have is 3 1/2 tons of coconut fibers on Oak Island . The fibers where used for packing and placed there by man . Something of value was in the Money Pit then removed and the Pit was filled in. Coconut fibers were found in the Money Pit and at Smith Cove and the carbon dates are the same . The coconut fibers should of been removed from the trench after 1 yr but they stayed there so what happen to the people that put the fibers there. If the treasure left the area by ship they would of taken the coconut fibers for packing and to keep the ship safe.
So the Treasure is still in the area.
The info we have below is all our new info.
1, The ship shape pile of stones.
2, The V carving on the big rock.
3, The stone map ( The Rock Map ).
4, The idea of the ship turned over and looked like a whale.
5, The tons of coconut fibers were used as packing and to keep the ship from sinking.
6, The 1360's coconut fibers were put in Smith Cove for 1yr. to make it ready for rope.
The entire story is our's and its new , we used info from other sources to help prove our story.
In each ( ) you will see a number and I have provided pages of info with numbers to help prove that part of the story.

This summer we hope to show the place where the Templar Treasure was moved to when it was taken from Oak Island. We are working with the Canada Gov. to get this done. Its our quest to prove the treasure was moved from Oak Island and it could of been removed from the site we have again. There is no solid proof of any Templar Treasure in the Nova Scotia area but we have info that we must track down to see if there is any kind of treasure at our site. The History Channel Film crew will be at this new site when we return this spring. Our TV show should air in Feb. on a new TV series called America Unearthed on H2, History Channel 2 and later this summer on History Channel at the lower channel. The show is about the Knights Templar and what happen to them.

Update / Our TV Show will air on March 15th at 10:00 on H2

Ya you are right. But there are things that no one will talk about and these stories are what we look into. There is a castle in New Ross , Nova Scotia just 18 miles up from Oak Island and no one talks about it. Joan Hope has spent years of work at the site and no one will talk about what she found. WHY :dontknow: Well we did and I hope this TV show on H2 , History Channel 2 will prove the Templars did build it. Think about it, The Templars were hunted and had to run to a safe land with the worlds best treasures. Do you think they would tell anyone were they went so they could be hunted for their treasure. We believe they built the castle in New Ross, The New Port Tower, and carved the Keningston Rune Stone. Its funny no one knows who built the New Port Tower, the castle or carved the stone . We hope to have the answers by spring.
Update / Our TV Show will air on March 15th at 10:00 on H2, If you don't have H2 you can go to this link http://www.history.com/shows/america-unearthed and view any episode after it airs.

America Unearthed: Hunt for the Holy Grail The Holy Grail is one of the most sought after treasures of all time, and one treasure hunter thinks he knows exactly where it is. He invites Scott Wolter along on his quest to find it, and the result is a North American treasure hunt of epic proportions. Legends, a treasure map and the results of ground penetrating technology all point to the Grail being in a single location--a holy well on the property of a rumored Templar Prince. What Scott finds in and around the well will shock even the skeptics in this edge-of-your-seat season finale.
