In all seriousness, I've seen open pit mines that are less disturbed. It's a wonder that they can even find the damned island at this point, let alone a specific point on it.

At the end of the day. No one can prove there is or was treasure there just as no one can prove there isn't or never was any treasure there..... There is still more land there that was not dug up than their is that was dug up.. Even in the picture posted above. Look at that main road coming down to the ocean on the right. Who's to say that it is actually on top of the treasure and was probably never dug up. Whoever was there then just filled in those spots they were digging in and left. Roads were probably left intact at that point.. It's possible and no way anyone can prove other wise..

How do you think that picture shows the whole island being excavated from ocean to ocean.. Looks to be only clear cut. Not like it is a massive hole ocean to ocean. No way to actually do that anyway. You'd have to pile up thousands of yards of dirt somewhere... Dunfield supposedly dug his hole roughly 150 feet in diameter which is a big hole but would be a small area within that picture...and yet the hole it's self would not have been fully dug down to whatever depth he went as he'd have to taper it down of course...

The folks who believe the hoax tend to modify their baseline stories to fit the lack of evidence. Even though the entire island has been dug up and searched, let’s go back to the money pit. All hoax believers who post here swear that the money pit did exist near the location that has been excavated for two centuries. Now that there is non-disputable, factual evidence that the only holes ever dug in the area are the ones companies dug to seek investments for profit, those who believe in the hoax are now switching stories and stating that the hole containing the mystical templar treasure/bacon tomb/shakesphear bookstore/black beard’s wallet/aztec gold/ etc. must be somewhere else on the island even though right before the money pit was disproven, they swore it existed in the current prescribed location.

Now that actual evidence has been presented that a money pit never actually existed, no further reason to argue with fantasy based conjecture put forth by believers in the hoax.

Now on to debunk “curse of civil war gold”.....
