I also want to add that $50k or more and it doesn't include if they find oil or some other natural mineral deposits!

FYI, so far we're split 50/50...makes sense where there is so much debate!

I thought about putting a Maybe category but this poll is designed for those who've made up their minds.

Depending on you're definition of treasure as to what is there, be it Gold, Silver, Copper, Artifacts or just knowledge. I say yes there is a lot of treasure there and I for one applaud the people who go in search of these treasures. If not for the hopes and dreams of us all to find something spectacular then why would we do what we do or spend time on a forum call treasure hunters...:skullflag:

If the assumption that the money pit holds treasure.......and nothing much has been found at this point.....I would start by going back to step one.....find the location where the first ships docked/anchored off shore......if tunnels and flood shafts were dug ,it would have required hundreds of men to accomplish this feat....not to mention the time required to do this.....then there has to be more evidence left behind....ie......tools,artifacts etc. that this large group of diggers and engineers left behind during their attempt to accomplish their goal......if the curse that 7 men need to die before the treasure will be found, then that day will be coming soon......Dan Blakenship is 91 years old and he will be the 7th man.....too many assumptions have been made, and too many theories have been made.....sorry guys.....I would spend more time finding step 1 and then continuing the search......two words will solve the mystery and they are common sense.

How does one go about registering a curse? Think about it. "I'd like to place a specific fatal curse on this island and it's treasure and make it widely known but not reveal who I am or what is there." Do you do that at the DMV or the village clerk's office?

If we know who made the curse then we know who buried the treasure.

And, if they had the ability to influence results or even predict into the future they wouldn't need treasure because they could generate wealth any time they wanted.

"It is said that Jacques de Molay cursed King Philip IV of France and his descendants from his execution pyre. The story of the shouted curse appears to be a combination of words by a different Templar, and those of de Molay.

An eyewitness to the execution stated that de Molay showed no sign of fear, and told those present that God would avenge their deaths.

It is true that Philip and Clement V both died within a year of Molay's execution...Within 14 years from the death of de Molay, the 300-year-old House of Capet collapsed."

Some would argue that the Knights did have the ability to see into the future. Especially if they possessed the Ark of the Covenant.

Maybe this is how they became "the bankers of Europe."

As with all secret orders, there was an Inner Circle of the Templar Order who saw to it that de Molays predictions came true. The head of this group during the time of the infamous arrests in 1307 was Gerard de Villers, but I premise he was with those who brought the Holy Grail to Nova Scotia.

Just not far enough to see the Church was gonna come arrest the group, stake them out and burn 'em.

Seems this Ark has a tendency to betray the possessor to a tragic end.
