I'm thinking that whatever is found it's likely in the money pit area.
When you send divers down the money pit, they can only investigate the very bottom of the hole right, because the sides would be a steel caisson unless the bottom leads to a void ? a limiting environment to search for anything I would think....

Just imagine in 300-400 years when someone stumbles upon Oak Island ( probably be called something else then ) and finds the massive pipes in the ground, has to be Missile silos or treasure at the bottom. The search will be on!!

I think in 400 years we'll know whats underground from satellites in space, they will probably be able to spot a single gold coin in the middle of the woods somewhere.

Glad it's a recap tonight, need a break from all the excitement and great finds from this season

Heck every show is a recap upon itself. Hour long show is only 42 minutes long, and while I like the show it is only about 15-20 minutes of new film each episode from all the recapping done within each episode...

Year 2146
Could it be?
Vertical tubes leading towards the center of the earth,
ranging in size from 12" to 6' and made from materials not known today.
Many ask,
why are they there?
How did they get there?
and what were they for?
Some archaeologist suggest treasure may be hidden inside one or more and many others offered as decoys.
Stay tuned;
Your Bud Aurum

 Professional Treasure Hunter
There are only two locations where I would look for treasure on Oak Island.
1. 44 degrees 30 minutes 46.33 seconds North 64 degrees 17 minutes 17.99 seconds West Size 7 feet X 5 feet Elevation 28 feet
2. 44 degrees 30 minutes 46.43 seconds North 64 degrees 17 minutes 17.81 seconds West Size 9 feet X 9 feet Elevation 29 feet

A recap yet they label the show with an "N" indicating new, ( Which it isn't ). Much of this was already gone over in the History channels "The Knights Templar" the previous couple of weeks. Ever since I was a little boy and read the story of Oak Island I was hooked. But these past couple weeks I am feeling like the History Channel is treating us like pre-schoolers. And that cross, when they find something they rush it off to the university to get it analyzed. Melting point of lead is 327.5 c while gold is 1,064 c so why not do a controlled melt to see if the lead is actually a covering over the gold ?

I think an XRF analyzer would be better to check the composition of the metals without destroying anything by melting. Maybe penetration through lead is limited though.

Not to mention that specific gravity would be a quick and definitive test since lead and gold are quite different.

Gold is heavier than lead, so why don't they simply melt some lead down into a similar size and shape of the cross and then weigh both of them ?
