The Curse of Oak Island Season 8 ends with the Lagina brothers getting closer to the exact area of the money pit. They are convinced that their theories are working right. It seems The Curse of Oak Island Season 9 will show the Laginas finally discovering the buried treasure.

Actor Gary Drayton (nickname: "Metal Detecting Ninja")....

"We have discovered more this year than we could have ever dreamed of finding. It has been a fantastic year."

Well we have to look at the positives of Oak Island and others like it? It acts like a magnet and lets the fantasist fantasies. Not a bad thing because it gives them reason to get up in morning to dream? Why not? While it lets others research unimpeded much more viable projects that are not so famous in the public eye.

Crackpot conspiracy theorists and egocentrics provide an excellent smokescreen as we know for real projects to slip totally under the radar.

In that respect I see your point. But for me its still an insane waste of time and resources considering the opportunities out there.

It does indeed appear the more famous the legend the more out there wild fringe conspiracy theories evolve. A magnet indeed for people who do not feel fulfilled in their life. Ironic because some times that unfulfilled person can be successful in a career but unfulfilled. Others trapped in mundane jobs living from week to week it is a little escapism.

There is nothing wrong in daring to do so in fact quite admirable but when you start ignoring facts that do not fit into ones pet theory then that is where the lying starts, deluding your self in the process will always end in grief.

That is the beauty of treasure net amigo we are all inmates of the Asylum.:laughing7:

One way or another....

Each topic represents a different ward:laughing7:

Yet among the aficionados, the attention seekers, dreamers, conspiracy theorists and soap box politicians......There are a few who really know their stuff.

In regards to that project you infer about? That one really did slip under the radar of public attention.

That one was a total doozy.....

Yet people rather buy into the deluded fantasy of a stinking sink hole that has not produced one item of treasure in 226 odd years...

Except a imitation Roman sword, a coin that turned out to be a washer, baby Ox shoes and crude cross made most likely made out of fish sinkers......

Now that is insane.

True amigo my fascination with The Curse Oak island is the levels of delusion and manipulation. You got hand it to the brothers they have milked this show for all its worth with season 9 perhaps even more? What amazing me the same crap pumps around and around in circles.

I see skeptics wasting their time pointing out the delusional claims of those blindly indoctrinated by 8 seasons Oak Island. The show is not real treasure hunting but a soap opera masking as a treasure hunt. Each show ends with a gasp and a what if?

And that is the hook.....

Only to find the next show season to go onto something else. The blurring of fact and fiction no longer matters to those for who its become a religion. Both sides of the argument has lost touch in the distinction with reality and entertainment.

One side cannot see the soap opera entertainment value and others do not see in reality its a total load of crap.

Ya cruise through forum opening topics like opening doors of the mind amigo. Most doors you are greeted by elevator music open Oak Island door its screamathon arrrrrrrrrgh . Close the door amigo Silence.:laughing7:

Welcome to treasurenet if ya wasn't crazy ya soon will be. :laughing7:

Seems like with the resources on TreasureNet, someone should have a reference book to determine a trigger guard match... Has anyone tried?
