newbie with a DFX-300

HI I'm new to this site ,and new to metal detecting but i have a new whites DFX 300 looking for good places to search in Columbus,oh surrounding areas i been going to parks and searching I'm finding coins notting to talk about it a start just getting to know the DFX i love it , I'm glad to be apart of this great hobby and i need all the help i can get that out there i been reading more searching right now!
