If these houses are in a downtown area I'd recommend that you pull up a Sanborm map from the late 1800's and see what was there at that time. If homes or businesses were there, there are probably old privies to dig as well. Check out privydigger.com or my website daytondigger.com if you're not familiar with privy digging. You can access Sanborn maps through the Ohio Public Library Information Network. Just google OPLIN and it will come up. If you or someone in your household has a library card you have free access or go to a library. It's in the Research Databases section. If it looks like the property has potential, I can tell or show you how to do it. Good luck

I was planing on going to the library to do some checking to try and find out what was there before. As my factory has been there for over a hundred years. Can not wait for a good thaw...mlayers
