Lost super bowl ring

I hear from a Cleveland metro park ranger that a former NFL professional football player was swimming in lake Erie and lost his Super Bowl ring. It was on a beach somewhere between Lorain and Sandusky, but the details were sketchy. The area was searched for several days and was not found. It was lost last year and is still there somewhere.

I also hear that there is a reward for the ring. The ranger could not tell me details other than the story I was told. Anyone have any info on the lost Super Bowl Ring?

Steve from Ohio, if it were me, I'd put together all the information i could on just who this person was. Then I'd get a hold of him and arrange to meet together somewhere close to the site. I'm bettin' he lost it in waist deep water. Maybe a little shallower. I'd also think that the reward might be substantial. Find out his name and call him....

but here is a pdf of the swimming beaches along the lake
there is 10 between sand and cleve, your allowed to hunt the
beaches along the lake. most people swim in the designated
areas, because of the, undertows and the fine, for not swimming
in the designated areas
