    Bouquet's 16th Encampment...

Wondering if anyone has hunted the area of Bouquet's 16th encampment in Coshocton? 1500 men on a ridge for three weeks there's bound to be plenty of stuff in the ground. My main concern would be getting permission from OSU's agricultural reaserch center which happens to be right where I want to hunt. Anyone ever hunt there?

    Re: Bouquet's 16th Encampment...

I'm new to the site, but I have some info for you. I grew up in Coshocton, and the area around Bouquet's camp was extensively hunted for many years. My uncle -- a Native American -- would find awesome points all over the fields on both sides of the roads for many years, but he stopped going not long ago as he says its all dried up. Might be worth a search, but just remember, the area has been extensively picked over -- and you never see anybody from OSU out in that area, so "ownership" was never a deterrent to hunters.
