Visiting Jet in Oct or Nov

Hey, I'll be driving from New Orleans to Jet in late October or late November( before temps don't get over 50) to collect Selenite in the salt plains for 5-7 days, and want to do some metal detecting. If anyone could consider a few hours, let me know.
Or you're interested in digging Selenite crystals, pm me or reply.
If you can't get out to hunt, perhaps you have places I could visit.

Jet is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. You're best bet for detecting is to do some research for old parks in nearby towns.

BTW, the crystal digging isn't at Jet, you'll still have to drive a little bit to get there.

Just checked the website. Collecting is only April 1 thru Oct 15. OOPS!
Look for me in the spring.
