Would help with the history of the area. Finding the property owners of recent to get permission is the hardest part sometimes.
Soil survey maps are very useful finding old homes, churches, cemeteries, etc.

I saw some of those packets on ebay. Didnt know they also sold them on amazon.
Ive often wondered if there would be enough useful info inside them for my area to justify purchasing one.
Keep us posted if you pull the trigger.

I have that same book for Jones County. Names are associated with section plots.
Could be useful, but I have not used it to find a hunting spot yet.

I've thought about going to the library. Do some research around my area. Most of the time I ask the old folks about the areas. I Just ask around for permission to hunt an area. I think researching and old maps would save me alot of time.
