Cool maps, Jeff.

I marked the place Mr. Oro and I are originally from. The county courthouse is in Tunkhannock and if you go into the courthouse there, you will find an old map on the wall that actually has a couple of gold and silver workings from the old old days.

B

My mom's family lives in Factoryville. I am in Tunkhannock at least once a year, I will have to check out the courthouse next time I am there.

If your family is from Factoryville, I might know them. Our address, while we lived in West Nicholson, was Factoryville, with a Tunkhannock phone number (you know how it is there), and Oro was born there, and I grew up there.

Do you mind revealing the family name? You can PM if you prefer.

B

Bob and Caroline Smith. My mom is Sandy and her brother and sister are Randy and Wendy.

I know a Bob Smith from the area - and a Bill Smith and a Sandy Smith. Not sure if they are the same family, though. You don't have 3 brothers by any chance, do you?

It's a small world!!

B

Bob and Caroline still live in Tunkhannock. Sandy is my mom and no longer has her maiden name nor does she live in the area.

Probably not the same family, but tis a small world!!

Thanks for bringing this post back to the top Orion024 and Jeff. I was looking for these about a year ago and never was able to find them. I didn't even remember where I saw them. I was interested in the old railroads lines so that's what I was searching for.

These will come in handy this spring when I plan to invade Schuylkill county from the south via the old railroad beds. Don't tell anybody.
