Check out these OLD Wisconsin maps!

Check out these old maps! http://collections.lib.uwm.edu/cdm4/...OROOT=%2Fmkenh I bet you can find some old sights to detect on here! You can magnify and they even show the locations of all the parks and businesses ! All the way back to the 1800s!
This is gold, Mr. Bond. All my life I've admired its color, its brilliance, its divine heaviness. I welcome any enterprise that will increase my stock... which is considerable.

hey, i'm a newbie to this hobby..... grew up in Racine and moved to Arizona in 2001 and love it. Are you still in Racine? The beach near the Lighthouse would be a good spot to go... as they have had several shipwrecks in the area thruout the years. Have you found any old maps of Racine yet? That park across from the mall would also be a good spot, as that park has been there forever and looked so much different growing up than it does now. Kenosha would also be a good place to detect.....

Go to the library and ask for the old city maps. They will give you the old slides and teahc you how to view them. They can also be printed for change. I am in Racine and that is what I have done and the maps really come in handy. :-)
