Hey,labradorbob, does Neosha still have that 'spook light' that was real popular in the early 50's? Good place to take your girl back then.I don't think any of the scientists ever figured out what it was(is).

Yes the "Spook Light" is still there near Hornet south of Joplin on 43 Hwy. I was there a few months back but didn't see anything. They have paved the road that runs to the OK border. There were some scientists with equipment to measure different anomalies there last year but they didn't see anything to measure.

In 1971 or so Popular Mechanics or mechanics Illustrated conducted tests in the area and Wrote it off as headlights, but My Dads uncle was seeing it back about 1900...Oh the Local spook light museum, called "spookys"burned sometime in the 1980s I think.
