This early RPPC image is a neat one! Apparently this relic was unearthed at Fort St. Frederick at Crown Point N.Y.. It is a breach loading cannon and is quite large in size. The front of the card reads "Breech Loading Canon Discovered At Ft. St. Frederick, Crown Point , N.Y. , Over 200 Years Old

Gypsy,

that is an old one. Looks like it could be a swivel gun.

Have one location where 3 cannon balls have been found.
Never was any military action in the area, but they think
they were from small swivel cannons from the French or British
that passed through the area.

Why is it that I cannot just come across one ::) :P

Would make for a good day ;D

have a good un..........
