Hi Tricia Welcome to Tnet
Old Photos is where we post ...Old Photos. Many people who are members of Tnet are also writers, historians and researchers ....so we share what we find for others to use. The older the better.....Many detectorists use old photos to also pinpoint hunting sites that they have maps for.
I go a great distance, while some are considering whether they will start today or tomorrow
I live in Elmira, almost all of my life. It's hard to see any details in your pic, it looks to me like the chemung river but it's hard to tell where it was taken from. If I had to guess I would say from the east side of Elmira up in the hills, probably close to where the hilltop restaurant is located. It's a very interesting picture, wish I had a copy of that !!!!
