Company 1326, State Camp No. 123-PA was situated on a 4,500 acre tract of land known as the Haldeman State Forest between Broad Mountain on the south and Berry Mountain on the north in Upper Armstrong Valley, Jackson Township. It was established by the Third Corps Area of the U.S. Army. On October 13, 1933 a vanguard of 26 men arrived and within a few days erected a camp.

Building parks, fences, and roads, planting trees, and fighting soil erosion were among the many projects of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Possible location?????

Looks like you are dead on on that one Jeff.

If this was built in 1933 why do you think that some buildings were already gone by the 1938 aerial photo? And what is here now?

Don't know on the Buildings.
They may be spread out through the woods.

the Haldeman State Forest Office sits there Now.

DK Just said there are Nothing can Be dug or removed
without Permission signs
there.

So may be hard to get Permission.
Unless the on duty Ranger at the Time
says Yes

Hmmmmm.......

I know of a CCC Camp location too.
The foundations are still visible....but a few hundred feet off the road. If you didn't already know they were there - you'd NEVER know it was there.

On my list of 'Must Hunts'....haven't hit it yet.
