    mojjax,

neat unit photo. Have seen several like it.

Cannot read what it says. Something about
    University??

Just a bit of history you have there, always nice.

1918, last year of the war; perhaps these folks
had some luck and did not get ,"over there."

Just noticed a few "black" troops; strange for that
    time period.?

    Thanks for posting.

Those coats sure do look warm.
Don't make them like that now.

it always surprises me what people choose to get rid of at garage sales. i would think that piece of family history would be more valueable than the few bucks they would get at the sale. nice find for you though!

Pretty neat. The style if often called a "yard long" photo, even though they were often a bit shorter, and sometimes longer than a yard.

Very neat piece of WWI history...they all look so young...would be neat if you could find their names and then see what happened to them...BU must have an alumni that would know or have a list....

AN excellent photo graph and becoming very collectible, especially since they are armed......And they are armed with American made MOISIN NAGNT rifles produced by Remington and Westinghouse for our then allies on contract basis for WW I Many were used by ROTC units and military schools to free up M 1903 Rifles that were then in short supply. Great photo !!

    Re: WW I Soldiers

I was told you will usually not see people smiling in these wide pictures because it took so long to take them, it had to slowly pan across, I think. I actually saw a wide picture in a bar that had the same person at both ends - was told they had time to be captured at one end then run to the other end for the rest of the picture. Great photo, hope you can find a family member of one of these gentlemen.
