Probably not much value over sentimental, I would guess. There's still lots of old film out there and, unfortunately, most of it has degraded to a point that it can no longer even be viewed. We recently found several old canisters of film from when my Dad played football in high school. I remember they tried several times to get the film transferred to VHS format, but never could. We found the canisters in the back of a garage/shop where they had been exposed to high heat and high moisture. Don't know if it's possible, but going to try to save the games again.

Cool box!!

No value at all. But you can save them for your children, mb in future they can sell them...

An interesting find. I think its value can be determined by calling specialists and moving the record to digital format because the value here probably depends on what is on the tape. Or you can leave it to yourself or children and then sell it as antiques

I noticed this was your very first post Adventrical - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

IMHO - not much value at all. Me - I would want to see what is on the film! Google will list a few places that will convert the film. IF you do convert the film - let us know what you found.:laughing7:

Maybe has value. I think it's worth trying to put on a specialized auction. Someone from the connoisseurs can buy it for a substantial sum. god luck
