Did I read that correctly ? Did it say that Obama opposed the fairness doctrine ? Well that's one point for Obama so far !

Yes, but he is on the record supporting "local standards" for radio stations. This is Obama-speak for "it depends on what 'is, is'.

If you research localization, you will find that this is the "fairness doctrine" undercover. I do commend Obama on his ability to not say what he means and not mean what he says.

Here is an op-ed to the WSJ on this topic. Note the Dems use of these terms within hours of BHO stating he opposes the Fairness Doctrine (i.e, "local content," "diversity of ownership," and "public interest" rules).

If it was truly fair, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Pat Buchanan, etc. would be given showns on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. So there is nothing fair about it.
