I did and it was pitiful. Small town, small turnout. We couldn't afford to drive to Raleigh or Fayetteville for the big ones.

This CNN reporter did. Look at her contempt. She approaches the crowd, asks questions, then comes up with $50 Billion Dollars for Illinois?? Where did she come up with that??

HMMMM! I guess Michigan is different. I did not see any "radical right" people at our state capitol in Lansing. All I saw were young and old, and many families there peacefully assembling to excercise their 1st Amendment rights.
Why is it when conservatives or libertarians protest, they are "radicals", but when liberals protest, they are "concerned activists"

In Tallahassee there were reportedly 15 hundred TEA Party protesters in front of the Old Capitol yesterday.
There were also vehicles driving by constantly honking in support!!
I was proud to be a part of it!
The signs were very creative, but most of them addressed the taxes, irresponsible spending and porkulus.
I agree oneeye, I saw protesters across party lines worried about the financial future, not just Obama bashers.

Re: POLL: Did you attend a tea party today?
one woman here was talking to the news people...screaming buzz words like she was rush...spittle, others backing her up...impressive....
i do believe she may not have understood the words she was so vehemently supporting....
then she goes ans screams..." I AM ANTI-SOCIAL".
i sure hope she is stupid and not really anti social...
by the signs i saw, and the things i heard...more madeupstuff.com
this is the bush budget people...100 days in office remember...budget signed by knee jerk congressmen/women...
do it really shake the foundations of your reality to have a black man as president?
self examination may be a bit more useful than blaming someone who hasn't had a chance to screw up too much on his own.

I saw no one protesting a black President... I saw people protesting the wasteful last 8 years and the next 4 identical ones to come.

who in the hell screams " I AM ANTI SOCIAL" and is proud to be so? the crowd backing her up like god was speaking through her.
that is sick..sums up the conservative movement...spoiled rich people who get it their way or spend their money as obstructionists...bordering on treason.

You must. Or you weren't paying attention. I saw thousands of people fed up with the "status quo" and taking to the streets. Liberals call that"first amendment rights" and "freedom of speech".

Almost like Liberal protesters when given airtime at a protest? When you're pissed off you get passionate. These people are fed up. That's all there is to it. The hundreds of tea parties happening all over the country are a means to object. It is okay to protest if you aren't a liberal isn't it?

Heaven forbid anyone at a protest say something stupid on air or anything. That happens at all protests, they interview a hundred people and find the five dumb ones to air. As for the crowd supporting her like God was speaking through her, have you ever seen a pro Obama rally before the election? Women were swooning for crying out loud!

Like Souros or Kennedy? Maybe Sean Penn or Bono? Rosie? Frankin? Which spoiled rich people are you talking about?
That last petty insult is EXACTLY why these tea parties are happening. It isn't just the right or just the left. It's a concerted effort by the politicians in Washington to do as they see profitable. They promise hope and change and safety and security and none of them do anything about it. The last President doubled our government. This one will end up doubling it again and in half the time. It has to stop. These people in DC need to be shown that America is DONE with their spending and wasting. That goes for Bush, Obama and everyone else up there.
See the main difference in Liberals protesting and non Liberals protesting is that when non Liberals do it then it makes headlines and America notices. Liberals protest anything for any reason anywhere. I hear protests happen daily in California, no one cares. Let a conservative or a Libertarian protest and instantly it's portrayed as a Klan march or a Skinhead stompdown. I notice the Presidents race is brought up a LOT by his supporters too. The stereotype being drawn about tea party protesters is laughable and sad all at the same time. It is fear and bewilderment on the Lefts behalf that they actually attempt to discredit a group of people doing exactly what they were doing for the last 8 years. It makes me wonder if it's jealousy. They didn't get this kind of coverage when they protested. Even Code Pink didn't get this when their leader was repeatedly arrested while grinning for the cameras. That didn't stay on TV for an entire news cycle like these protests did.
Maybe I have some of that in me too though. Stereotyping that is.
When I think Liberal I think mincing pantywaist with a faerie tale mentality, a follower mindset and deep pockets to make sure everyone knows how "aware" they are and how"active" they are. Maybe they like jazz and read old Russian novels at Starbucks over $6 coffee. Maybe they still have a Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker on their hybrid. Ponytail, square glasses and a goatee, turtleneck...maybe a VW Jetta or a Volvo wagon.

I did not but my son attended the one in St. Paul, MN. He said there were DHS people present TAKING PICTURES of the demonstrators. Now that is something I find VERY disburbing.
