Re: Pope: Bone Fragments Found in Tomb Are Paul's

I read this headline on my homepage and it seemed to have a couple of holes in it. The article says that carbon 14 was used to verify whose bones they are. Well, carbon 14 does not identify personage and genetic codes. It is a method of dating objects, which in reality is an unreliable way. Carbon 14 dating has shown a living oyster's shell to be about 10,000 years old.

The only way for those bones to be remotely identified as St. Paul's is by DNA testing, but then, whose DNA would it be compared to?
