    Ghost Towns S. Oregon

Hello to all. I'm just getting into the hobby, although have always had a great intrest. I live in Roseburg, and am mainly looking for ghost towns, old homesteads, mining camps etc for relic hunting and MDing. Any good leads? I love the great info I've found in the forums. Thanks alot.

Just make sure the area doesn't say "Historic Landmark" or you can be in deep doo-doo.

Along Coyote Ck Rd, on the way to Golden, on the left side of the road, is an old, small, dump site. It's shortly before the town, if I remember correctly, and has a parking area that's easy to miss. I've gone through it before, as have may people, but there are lots of cans, bottles, etc... I never had a MD, but there are probably a lot of ferrous things to be found, I'm sure!

    Best site ever....... 'nuff said.

    http://www.brainygeography.com/

If it says "historic" next to a town name, its a ghost town or nearly one. Find old school sites, towns, mines, areas of interest, etc. Whatever you are looking for by state, county, whatever. If its ever been listed anywhere on a map, its probably here, with exact GPS coordinates. Put me right on top of more than one spot to dig, heheheh!
