Rockaway Beach

Heading down to Rockaway beach this summer any good places?

Any good finds on the beach?

Rockaway beach is aprox 8 miles long,so i think that in front of the major motels there would be the best places to hunt. the last time I was there the storms over the last few years had removed quite a bit of sand on the dunes so that would be another place I would detect.
I grew up in wheeler and went to high school in Rockaway.
Also there is camp magrueter (sp?)at the south end of rockaway near the freinds church campground by smith lake.

That should be a very good area to hunt.
Before I got into MDing, spent a lot of vacations there.
Beach front motels should be great.
Of course you have to check out "Figamo Jims" as my kids called it.

The train depot might be good for hunting too.
