Ashland, Medford area......

Hi, I am going to be in this area 6 to 10 or so of July and hope to get some treasure hunting in,,,,any ideas of where to go or contacts to make would be great. Used to live there and went to Crater Highschool in 1970 and 71, but wasn't into this hobby(OK,,,,obsession) then. Lived in Ashland, Medford, Central Point, Sams Valley, and Ramsey Canyon at one point or another. Any info would be most appreciated.

Sure- head up Briggs creek, Red Dog creek, or many other tribs of the Illinois river. Lots of history, lots of nice gold in there as well. If you're MDing, check out tailing piles or old ghost town areas. Lots to choose from down there. Plenty of research into the area will help you pick out some decent spots that you may be interested in.
