Day 2- The sawmill site and a couple nuggies

We thought we'd try metal detecting an old sawmill site on day 2. I found a couple newer coins (no biggie) and a bunch of trash. Lisa, on the other hand, hit a biggie! Her and her son Charlie got a huge signal and started in...



After some serious labor, they managed to expose this old piece of hydraulic line. There were test pits blasted out all up and down the creek, and this area did have a little work done below where we were at.



I never took pics where we were digging, unfortunately, but the kids managed to uncover 3 picker nuggets a short ways up a feeder creek. This area was worked extensively in the past.
