Portland area. Anyone find phoenix buttons?

Hi, I'm from Salinas, CA (south of San Jose). Down here, we find "phoenix buttons" at sites that date from the 1820s/30s. The buttons are 1820s french military in origin, that made their way into the trading circuit to pacific coastal sites of the period.

I have heard that many have/were found along the Columbia river area, specifically from Portland to Dalles area. Does anyone here know of anyone who's found any of these buttons up your way? Thanx!

Jim Siel found a Phoenix Button during an Oregon Treasure Trail Society outing on Sauvie's Island several years ago.
