I plan on spending a few days at Devils Lake this summer and want to know where on the ocean beach at Lincoln City would be a good place to my MXT to work? Thanks

Hi TN,
Have spent a lot of time (and money) in LC.
Mostly at the casino.
Always stayed at the motel across from the state park with the big parking lot.
Was not into MDing then but there were a lot of folks on that beach.
We were there when they had 90 mph wind gusts.
I did walk on the beach then but it was really hard. Had to do it to say I did.
Places where most people are is where you will find the treasure.
I need to get a good sand scoop. Hope you have one.

HI, I used to live in LC, ran the Econo Lodge Motel, you need to go to Beverly Beach and get a permit to go on the beaches there. Not sure if everyone does or not but I always try to do what is right.
Most people go down by Mo's Resturant, down by the river there, easy find, there is a large paint building on the right hand side at the last light going south out of town, turn right there and go down toward the beach. Lots of parking, lots of shops and lots to eat. People seem to find things but I never found much but it was because I could not always hit the tides. The most minus tide is the best that you can do. -1.1 or like that so check the tides before you go. I also went to the "new" city park by the "D" river wayside. It is fun, found a few native american artifacts, at least I think that they were, there and some coins. Used to be an old hamburger stand there, the foundation is still there somewhat. people also go under the road overpass and sleep in there, found a few interesting things there. Anyway, over on the D river wayside, there are interesting things there too, not much to bragg about but interesting. I know that this is a little late but thought you would like the info.
Just pass the salmon river, north of LC is a boatramp, has great hiking trails, but down by the boatramp, supposedly, there was a ship that sunk with treasure chests, indian area also but never found much there.
The state parks sometimes will let you work in the camp areas as long as it is not an old indian site, have to be really careful in the state parks now, they have to really respect the indian sites.
It is a beautiful place, love the water and the waves on the rocks, been going to Quartzville, once, what a beautiful place also, met a friend and we all had a great time. Going back as soon as I can.

The "D" river runs right next to motel and lots of folks at wayside.
Finally got some good sand scoops made for there.
Haven't been to Quartsville yet but am in the GPAA. Hope to soon.
