GC 1023 Detector

Was thinking of getting one to try out.Anybody have any good finds with it?Also how heavy is the coil its looks like its kinda heavy.Hows the recovery speed on it?,,Thanks

For the money it's an awesome detector. The build quality is not great, kinda cheap, but its okay. Good finds? Plenty! I've scored several silver dimes and quarters this year at sites I've searched before. The depth on it is average, but you can't expect top performance from these machines. The coil is thick, kinda heavy, but the machine itself is so light it kinda balances out.

Recovery speed is awesome...it rivals the new fishers in that aspect. Good discrimination too. BUT...its not as good as the "big boys" so don't expect that! All in all, its a fun little machine. I love mine!

Great detector for $60. Very good Recovery Speed and Disc.
