I would imagine if you are using it for nugget shooting you would hunt in all metal.

If you are gold prospecting looking for gold nuggets you do not use any discrimination if you do i don't think you will find any gold.
THAT'S RIGHT I DID IT SO WHAT , CRY TWO TEARS IN A BUCKET , FACE IT , LET'S TAKE IT TO THE STAGE....---LET NO ONE KNOW WHAT WHERE OR WHEN -----

I have been used a tesoro dingo its okay. But i want a detector with extra depth. I have gpx 4500 in disciminator mode it just blanks out for to long a area when you pass over junk ,it is impossibleto dig everthing.Thats why i was asking about a t2

Forget about the T2 and get an MXT or GMT. An XTerra 705 would also work if the ground doesn't change too rapidly.. though it doesn't have the best coil selection. ..Willy.

I saw a video of a guy using the 4500. He was in all metal mode. When he came across something he thought might be gold he would switch to discriminate to verify before digging.

I've got the T2, it is decent on small gold, it picks up stuff small gold that my Safari stays silent on but I am sure its nothing compared to the 4500.
