Fieldmaster Searchmaster X7 versus Tesoro Compadre

Hi all, I'm back again !
Thanks for the replies to my previous enquiry ,much appreciated.
This one is about the Fieldmaster Searchmaster X7.
A friend of a friend is selling his and I need to know if it's any good or not ?
So an unbiased opinion would be helpful if anyone out there has one, it will be replacing a Tesoro Compadre.

I've still got an old Searchman 2 (15+ years old). Still works fine and has never needed repair or adjustment.
If the price is not to high it could be a good buy but resale prices tend to be poor as they went from full page colour adds in the detecting magazines to just selling on E-bay and then they disappeared from there as well just leaving a web site.

Its one detector I haven't tried out. Don't think I've even seen one. Any chance he would let you go out with him for a few hours to see how it suits you and your ground ?
