    Detector Pro Headhunter Wader

I am getting ready to purchase a detector for me and my husband and would like to know if anyone has any information on the Headhunter Wader? We have had older Garrett detectors and would like to have new ones in the 400 to 500.00 range.

    Re: Detector Pro Headhunter Wader

    Hello.

Detectorpro has its fans and its enemies. I'm a fan.

This is a detector that you can use at the beach or in the field. I found I didn't have to readjust it when I went from wet sand to dry. I can also use it any place I use a land detector.

It does a much better than average job discriminating out junk in my opinion. Depth is not incredible, about 6" if you use a discrimination setting of 3 or less. But it should be noted that probably 90% of all your metal targets, no matter what detector you're using, are found at a depth of 6" or less.

It is also waterproof enough that if he gets slapped by a wave at the beach, or if he gets caught in the rain, or if he drops the headphones in the water, he won't have to worry about frying the electronics in his control box.

It is also lightweight enough that he can swing it all day long and not get tired.

Is the Wader the best detector out there? No way. But you sure can do a heck of a lot worse.

    Hope it helps.

The older DetectorPro Waders had some problems but the newer Wader Pro model seems to not have any problems of that sort. It is definitely light weght and should do the job.
