well got a ring and 1946 crusty a old wheat penny was running the disc level about 12 o'clock position and running the 11' coil and the disc on this is super other than botlle caps but no nails no screws which is in the range i was in nickels and higher and when it would disc out stuff there was a breif chirp and then on some stuff it was like a backward sounding signal and clipped and when you got on a decent target there is that unmistakable pop tone that just rings out to you, the more i use it the more i like it and is deep
