    Anyone heard off a Techna SmartTracker XR8

    Has anyone heard of this machine?
    Techna SmartTracker XR8
    They where made in El Paso, Tx.

    Made in the 70's. I never saw one with much depth so it would not compare with the cheaper Fishers/Tesoro/C-Scope etc.

    I think this was the "better" model that had a signal intensity meter plus a red light on one side and green on the other to indicate ferrous/non ferrous.

    Thanks for the response.Yes it is the one with the red and green light.
    I am just getting into MD and was looking for a used,low priced machine.
    This was on ebay so i will pass.Since it is not very good.
