Has anyone metal detected spain?

Hello, I'm planing on studying abroad in Spain next (2011) summer and have read that it is hard to bring stuff back to the U.S. Has anyone had experience exporting finds from Spain? Do I have a chance?

Don't have any experience with Spain. If the treasure is jewelry, used to be (at least a lady might) you could wear it back...not sure about now...
