I Panned my first pan, down at the local creek... I was panning and, I went what the heck EM I doing....so I just dump it out, and I look an theirs black sand.....I go holy crap there it it's the black sand.... and you just dump it all out... so I classified up another batch and panned that down didn't find any thing. So I took home about tree quarters of a pan of classify ed dirt... put in 6 20 gauge led pellets witch i squished... man them thing are small....and with the smaller pan witch I took 60 grit sand paper to.. and made nice scratches...honed it like a cylinder bore. I added the dirt and the lead ,panned it all down.. and lo and be hold... there were my six bird shoot. liftloop

Good job, sounds like its in your blood now. No cure for that but more prospecting Dont get discouraged if you dont find anything at first, I went at least a year before finding shine, but now I am finding it everywhere!

I think if i hit the creeks that run over the old copper mines were there is quarts I mite find some gold may be silver may be even some green stones.....from metal detecting, I no were the bed rock is showing un der the river, plus we got glacial till every were here.
