well finally got a trommel built

well I got it built but of course no time to try it..........it came out ok but the hopper got a little hacked here and there but long as it works good is all it matters so will try to take some pics out in the field some time this is a mikes trammel build used 1/4" screen

Looks good, just a few suggestions, did you use ny-lock nuts? I can see those bolts loosening up if you didn't. And the hardware cloth you chose looks a bit thin so you might want to be careful putting too large of gravel through it.

Just my 2 cents, good job on the build!

I just recently tried it on some really nasty clay/mica/ silty like stuff tourmaline mining and worked great had to keep the water to it though so it wouldn't clog but I'm pretty happy with it river gravel works awesome

This is an older thread but how did the trommel work? For now I'm sticking with my Keene A52 and this looks like a great idea to make classifying easier.
