Wife, shopping all morning. Kids, sleeping. Mom in law in residence. Perfect time to dig a couple pans of dirt. Completely reasonable, right!? :)

Found a bit of the yellow stuff. Not bad for two pans of dirt. Also getting some silver in the form of silver chloride.

Completely dumb luck. Bought my house more than 20 yrs ago. Had no interest in geology or minerals at the time. I'm a computer guy by trade. Was 10 years or thereabouts before I even took a close look at the "stream" in my back yard.

Below are cool metamorphosed silica-based rocks from my stream. Super heavy. Lots of iron oxides along with sulfides of various kinds. Great for polishing!
