List of Keepers
Many times in this forum, "keepers" have been mentioned, but its so spread out, that i though i'd put in a seperate post for it. If i'm missing anything, please let me know.
*Star notes (has a star after the serial number)
*Radar notes (reads the same frontwards and backwards, does not have to include letters, ex. A12488421R)
*Low serial numbered notes (four or more zeros before anything else, ex. A00003748B
*Binary notes (only uses 2 numbers, ex. A88558585Y)
*Repeater notes (serial number repeats itself at lease twice, ex. A98569856R)
*Ladder notes (serial numbers with runs, ex. A12345678R)
*Same Number notes (serial numbers with at least 5 of one number in it, ex. A84882288R)
*Pre 2000 notes (some people collect these, some don't)
*Web Press Notes (single letters to the right of ONE on the front, and to the right of TRUST on the back, only made in '88A, '93, and '95, and only in $1 bills.)
*Consecutive Serial Numbered Notes (2 or more notes with serial numbers that follow eachother)
*Silver Certificates (Says SILVER CERTIFICATE where newer notes say FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE)
*Gold Certificates (Says GOLD CERTIFICATE where the district is on newer notes)
*
Please reply if you don't understand any of these explanations, or want to add something i missed out on.

Re: List of Keepers
No web notes were printed for series 1988. Only 1988A, 1993 and 1995. You may want to mention they were only printed for $1 notes as well.

And yes, anything interesting like that, i would keep, although i'm not sure what i'd call that one. Do you have a bill with that serial number?

Re: List of Keepers
Yes, it's just a $1.00. I kept it, I thought it was a cool number. Is that still considered a repeating bill?

I wouldn't know. I don't know too much about paper currencies, the only way i put up this list is from compiling what other members in other posts have said about what they count as a keeper.
