Dollar Bill misprint error

Hello!

I'm not a coin or currency collector, but my husband and I came into posession of a misprinted dollar bill and we were looking for someone to tell us how much it might be worth.

The front is printed properly, but at first glance the back is blank. After looking closely you can see the ever so faint "shadow" of the ink on the back. This is a 2009 series bill. It came right out of the band of 100 from the bank, so the ink is not just faded.

Also, if it is worth more, my husbands friend has one also that is the serial number just before the one we have and it is also blank on the back. We would probably sell them together as a pair if the pair will sell for more than the 2 individually.

Any information or opinions would be much appreciated!

That is an outstanding find. I really have no idea on the value of such a misprint but I do believe that consecutive error notes such as that would carry a premium over being sold singularly.

Here is a single note, 1974 series that has been certified and is priced at $750.00. Is that price high or low? I don't know. But you do have a great find.

Your (your friends) notes would probably be worth getting graded and certified. Cost from the service I am linking would be $24-$35 each.
