All I know is that they made a ton of older notes. Back in the year 2000, I had a 69A $50 bill that I took to a coin shop. I asked if it had any value. The owner said no and so I spent it buying up some coins there. After I spent the $50 there, I thought he was going to keep it for himself and keep all nice and neat. He just got off the phone with his wife like he was going home for dinner and folded the bill like it was nothing and put it in his pocket. I guess he really wasn't kidding about it not being worth anything. I think the bill has to have a different seal color other than green for it to be worth something over face or a low mintage star note, repeater note, low serial number. Otherwise it's not worth it since there were so many of them made.
