Here's nice note a friend of my grandfather had given me before he passed away. I figured some of my Pennsylvania friends and others would enjoy seeing it.

That’s very close to my work! I never knew there was a large bank there. It’s a very small town...

I like the bill; a great piece of history.
It's a National Bank Note from the 'Third Charter Period'. Date range: April 12, 1902 to April 11, 1922. More specifically, there were three varieties of these bills; yours is the 'Blue seal without date on back'. These bills were issued from 1915 to 1929 and are the most frequently encountered of all National Bank Notes. These notes were also the last issued before the conversion to small-size currency in 1929.
