Its True, not all treasure is made of gold or silver. This is a pair of 1899 Silver Certificates that I have had stuck away for some time now.
I just like them for there artistic beauty. Enjoy.

Ekin,
As you know, you have two Teehee/Burke Silver certificates from the 'Series of 1899' with consecutive serial numbers. The bills appear to be in excellent condition.
The Official Red Book (2116) shows the value at $250 each in EF and $525 in Unc-63. Keep the bills together; that adds additional value as a pair with consec. numbers.
Excellent save !!
Don........

Thanks for the tip Don. All payed for and they don't eat anything so they can rest safely in the safe for a few more years. They have been together for around 100 years now, so rest assured I will never be the one who breaks them up.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing the images. I have a few mid-20th c silver certificates in low grades that I should have cashed in for silver dollars in the 1960's. I remember cashing in the two most worn ones on two occasions and the joy of being handed a silver dollar at the bank way back then. I think the bank limited redemptions to one/day or something and then the program was stopped around 1968'ish.

Megalodon,
Some of these mid-1800 Silver Certs. in even poor condition, may be worth hundreds (and a few in the thousands) of dollars today. Have you priced yours lately?
Don.....

None of mine are older than the 1950's and the best ones are not as nice as the OP's 1899 notes.
