Need some help on this one.

I cannot find "Wolf Creek"

Or Know of any Falls in Pottsville

closest I'm aware of is "West west Falls" in Forrestville I believe.
& "Swatara Falls" N.E. of Newtown

Wolf creek and little Wolf creek are north of St. Clair along north bound rt. 61. You can find them on the historic maps.

I just Noticed this in the 1875 Atlas

There was a Powder mill north of St. Clair.

Should be easy to Locate as it was just before the Township line

If you would go to Map Tech and look up historical maps under mahanoy 1889 you will see mill creek. Following it you will see two buildings right before the swamp area. This may be the powder mill. If it is, it is probably long gone as I believe the area is stripped out.

Yes I knew there were Homes along there years ago But no signs remain.

It is also possably They are Under North bound 61

I just checked the Tax site & where the Mill is marked it is State Game Land.

& what Isn't Game Land

is owned by the Municipal authority which has a resevoir to the N.W. of
the Mill site area along south Bound 61

The 1938 Arial from Pen Pilot Looks like there was just one 2 lane Highway back then

I'll Check the 1889

Although Slightly off from the Maps

I think that Dark area may be part of the Powder Mill Site

& is S.G.L. Property

"The caves on Sharp Mountain"

Like Everyone already Knows.

Never anything about them or Where they are.
