Back in the day, when a prisoner got too weak to work on the chain gang, the law took them to Chaintown, and shot them. It's located across the tracks and under a RR trestle off Chaintown Road.
I know this area along the Yough river, there used to be coke ovens in the area. Also a big old building
from the 1800's called the Dawson House. In the bar area with the 20 foot ceilings they had a two-headed
calf mounted in a glass case way up near the ceiling. My grandfather was born there.
