Hunting university grounds?

How many have hunted on college or university grounds? Most campuses are over 100 years old and have large lawn areas on them. Wondering how many people have hunted these locations.
On a state college do you have to get permission? Or do you think most don't allow detecting?

I Have only heard of one person ever hunting
a University, & IF I Remember right he
was a former student who also Knew the
right people.


I Also heard it is Next to impossable
in most cases to get permission.

This has prevented me from Trying.

I've hunted several campuses. I've done Bucknell, Bloomsburg, Susquehanna, and 2 smaller colleges in the Wilkes-Barre area. Some great finds were made. Most of these campuses had been hunted previously over the years. I did have an advantage though. My hunting partner at the time was a Bloom college professor. That got us in. We mainly talked to the college security to get permission and we hunted when school was out of session. We hunted Susquehanna a few times with permission from security, but a college administrator didn't like us doing it and asked us to leave. Unfortunately, you meet some unhappy people.
